Closure of Church Buildings

Dear all

Following my letter to you last week, I am writing to tell you that in line with the updated guidance on social distancing, the decision has been taken to close all church buildings until further notice.

I know many of you have taken in comfort in being able to come to church for a time of private prayer and reflection and this latest restriction will come as a considerable disappointment at a such difficult times.

However, our faith goes beyond physical buildings and our God is with us wherever we are. We can pray still pray together and I would like to suggest that following yesterday evening’s national wave of prayer we continue to light a candle at 7.00pm every day and pray wherever we find ourselves at that time.

As you know we already have our pastoral system, The Vine, in place and I know that Vine group leaders are already in touch with everyone in their groups.

These are unprecedented times but through the love, strength and grace of God we will endure and emerge as the strong community we already are.

In the meantime please be assured of my love and prayers and if there is anything you feel I can assist with,  please do not hesitate to contact me
