Daily Reflection – Tuesday 31st March

‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.’ 1 Corinthians 2:9

Are you are much less busy than usual? Are you able to take  time to reflect more on yourself, those around you, and God? Some folk are extremely busy at work, and others have their hands full with child care and home schooling, but if your routine has been significantly curtailed, now is a good time to for us to ask if our lifestyles are sustainable – for our own mental health, the good of our relationships and the future of creation.

Slowing down forces us to consider if we are living well. The creator invites us into an abundance which is about more than personal achievements. It is a life of connection: with people, with the planet and the one who breathes hope into our being. Creator God, thank you for this release from my busyness and anything else that takes up too much room in my life. Teach me Lord how to live well on this earth and care for all you have made. Bring abundance of life to all, and help me to give energy and hope to those I encounter. Amen.
