Pastoral letter from Rev Jane

Dear friends

Second Lockdown

I hope this letter finds you and your loved ones well and safe.

As I am sure most of you are already aware the country is about to enter into a second lockdown period commencing on Thursday 5th November.

As I write this, we don’t yet know what the implications for public worship in church buildings will be, but I wanted to reassure you that as soon as this is made known by the Diocese and the national church I will inform everyone.

I know that as a parish family we will work together to enable the Gospel to continue to be proclaimed through our actions and our prayers and that we will worship together in whatever way is safest for us all.

Tomorrow (1st November) our worship will continue both in St Andrew’s and Holy Cross and on line through the Facebook live stream and I do hope you will be able to join with us through one of those medium.

I know that the news of this latest set back will bring challenges to many of us and indeed the wider community but please continue to pray for our world and to lift to our Lord all those for whom this season will be hard.

With my love , prayers and blessings

Jane
