Reflection 7th April

Psalm 55:22

“Cast your burden on the Lord, & he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.”

Reflection

Worrying can create an unwanted and unexpected tsunami of evil by giving satan the chance to manifest himself in your heart and mind. When we worry we are not giving things over to God in faith, expecting Him to be able to take care of them.

We must obey the words of Phil.3:13: – “forget the past and look forward to what lies ahead.”

Pray, asking for God’s direction in your life – for the present and future. Instead of worrying pray about everything. Give your worries to God. As you pray, listen for God’s guidance and obey it when it comes, then give thanks as if your problems have been solved. Let Christ’s peace guard your heart and mind.

The promise of the verse today tells us when we give our worries to God, He will sustain us. That’s why Christ gave His life for us – to bring us back to God, to be sustained and protected by Him – holding us in His arms of love.

Ask God today to help you to get rid of your anxieties and to fill your heart with peace, courage and calmness. Pray for His victory over all your worries.
