Reflection for Monday 30th March

‘May the God of hope fill you with all joy and and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.’ Romans 15:13

We have, for the first time in many, many years embarked on doing a jigsaw puzzle. Not an easy 24 piece one such as our grandson loves to do with us, but a perplexing, difficult, frustrating 500 piece jigsaw. At the moment it is a thin frame, with one tiny section inside completed, and a box full of jumbled unfathomable bits. It will require sifting through those bits many times to build a clear picture.

I am sure many of us have said at some time, ‘Stop the world, stop this crazy roller-coaster ride, I want to get off for a minute’. God heard. Now we look into a new future, and uncertainty is an unfamiliar companion.

But just as we will be sifting through the pieces of the jigsaw over the next few weeks, all of us need to spend time exploring God’s Word, remain prayerful and, above all, trust our loving God who has the completed picture in his firm grasp.

Amen
